ROCKINGHAM RAMS WOMEN’S UPDATE 2023

The 2023 season for the Women’s team was a club success. With Shauna Hart as coach, there was an incredible incline in numbers at training as well as on game days. It was a competitive year, with the women putting in extremely hard work on and off the track to be able to achieve finals.

Unfortunately the women’s team were knocked out of the finals, however reaching and achieving a finals campaign was something Shauna and the club were very proud of. We saw women of all abilities join the team, with some playing for years and some who never picked up a footy in their life. Most importantly the 2023 season brought an amazing club culture within the women’s team, the playing group was a tight, family atmosphere which then
had a ripple effect within the club and on game days.

“I was incredibly honoured and humbled to have coached such an amazing, talented group of women and have no doubt that this playing group will one day achieve great things within their football journey” says Shauna. The club look forward to what 2024 brings for the women’s team with Allan Godrey and Shauna Hart joining forces to coach and lead the way for women in AFL.
